Richter's issues have been piling up lately, which being stuck in camp for so long and being forced to ... keep living sort of catalyzed. various things with feeling bad about feeling good, certain smiley people touching him in the feeling place, etc.
AND THENNNN Arche showed up, who's from 4000 years in the future of Richter's world, and through talking to her he figured out that The Thing he basically gave up his life to do at the end of his canon to make the world a better place ... didn't happen for whatever reason. So he had damned himself for an eternity to help the creature who murdered the only person he ever cared about for no reason. In the end, all his work and sacrifice was totally worthless and pointless. Not only did he fail in his initial plan to revive Aster, he also failed in the attempt he made afterward to try help the world that Aster loved. ♥
so yeah, he just lost it and is now self medicating himself through magic into minicomas.
