Ohh, I see what you mean about Itachi edging on his type, then.

For Itachi: Uchiha Madara! Because he's a total troll and would piss Itachi off so much just by being in camp. (Though, I'd love a Naruto or Kakashi, too)

He's seen Axel hanging out with Umeda, but he has no idea how deep their relationship is. If he found out, his reaction would probably be something along the lines of, "Wait, we really can feel like that?!" Because even though he never 100% bought into the whole ~emotionless husk~ thing, he did spend his whole life as a Nobody having one higher-up or another giving him the "stop pretending to have feelings >:|" lecture.

Your characters are all forced to live in the same house for some sort of reality TV show. How disastrous is this for network ratings?

Himawari was subsequently pretty traumatized! She spent the better part of the week in the cabin just. Watching fluffy things and playing with her pets and NOT GOING OUTSIDE and having nightmares and. Yeah. It kind of fucked her up.

How's Grelle doing now that she's committed a whole bunch of murder?

Still stir crazy and a bit bored, but she's feeling a lot more smug and proud of herself. LIKE SHE'S GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER OR SOMETHING kyaaaaa!!

Back...ish... to a previous note, how are Ryuuken and Rikuou doing lately?

They're probably the best they ever have been/will be in camp. They're not officially together because Rikuou is still dating Kaza, but they might as well be, really. It's pretty much that technicality that's getting in the way. >> On the other hand, it's a bit of a fucked up situation as a result, but at this point Ryuuken just . . . doesn't care? He and Rikuou are happy together and that's pretty much all that matters.

What drew you to Cheryl?

SELFISHLY HAPPY. Yoi-te never expected to see Yukimi again, in camp or out of it. At the same time, this complicates things because on some level, Yoi-te is still telling himself that making an impression on people in camp doesn't really count, he could still go home and all that self-effacing he's done would still be in place. He wouldn't be close to people, or have left much of a mark for Miharu to erase. Yukimi was a flaw in that plan to begin with, and it's only going to get worse the longer Yoi-te tries to live around him. So he's very hesitant around him right now ._.

If Rikuou made a post asking about the gory gory murders that have been going on, how would Grelle react?

SHE WOULD JUMP IT AND BE LIKE "OMG NO WAI" and generally be >D and make a nuisance of herself. She'd also try to listen in to what he was telling others and what other people came forward for, and try to adjust her "killer" character accordingly (which would be its own kind of obvious, really.)

GOSH IT IS HARD TO PUT INTO WORDS WHAT DREW ME TO CHERYL. Like, she was the last sort of character I expected to spend time on, but she fights with Soubi for position as primary. But basically she's like... a tiny loli who fakes sweet and innocent and is so badass and I cheer whenever she shows up in the manga (which is nowhere near enough; she was in one panel the entirety of Vol 3, though at least she's back in recent chapters). I -- actually I can probably put it down to the scene where, after spending a long time buttering Cherry up and being supercute she finishes her anti-vampire preparations in the hunt she's on and calls him up like "Yeah, it's Cheryl. For the next half hour you and your opponent won't be able to use any abilities. This includes regeneration so be careful. Master's in there and on the line, so if you mess this up I'll personally rip your fingernails off and shove them up your pisshole." *click* And Cherry's just like "I... I don't have any fingernails... pisshole?! Wait, who was that?!" and I was like "You. I like you." /rambles forever.

How does Himawari feel about Heat?

Himawari still really likes Heat a lot! Even though they don't talk as often as they used to, she'll still keep an eye out for him just to at least say hi. He's pretty comfortable for her to be around since she's known him for . . . god, how long has it been? Two years? Three? I wouldn't say much has changed in their relationship recently, but she still considers him a good friend.

Cheryl is . . . An awkward person for Takanari. He doesn't want to treat her like a child, because she clearly isn't one. But he's also godawful with children, so he doesn't know what you're supposed to do around them except behave and be good. So, he's alright when he's ignoring the fact that she's twelve, but he trips up on that sometimes and ends up judging more than he really likes to! Still, Takanari isn't likely to let her in too much, just because she is someone he takes conscious note of where most others tend to ninja in or he decides to allow it.

Also, he's kind of stupidly amused at his nickname and wants her to keep using it . . . Except where he's embarrassed by it and would like her to stop. DUMB KOUTEI IS DUMB.

Hmm hmm. Honestly, Rikuou felt a lot closer to other!Soubi that to this Soubi. He doesn't attribute this to there actually being two of them or anything, just figures he didn't hit quite the right buttons this time and Soubi has turned up the chill a bit. Which is fine, as long as he doesn't treat Ritsuka any differently. I figure in the cabin Rikuou is just kind of casually familiar with him regardless?

CHARACTERS: Rikuou, Tsuzuki, Ahiru, Doumeki, Dru, Rakan, Yoi-te, Kazuhiko, Koganei, Kyoko

Yeah, I can basically pinpoint the discomfort between them to this:

Soubi is a very very private person, if not quite antisocial; it usually takes concerted effort from the other person to find out anything about him and even there he tends to hand it out in little crumbs. So he arrives in camp, and basically immediately discovers that he was apparently here before and has no memory of it. Among other things, what that means is he can't quite help being a bit cautious around Rikuou because he doesn't know how much Rikuou knows about him and the conversations they had have revealed it's quite a lot more than he's told most people. From his perspective, he can't control the circumstances Rikuou received this knowledge and, hell, doesn't even know what those circumstances are and 'how' Rikuou got through to him to HEAR these things in the first place. He doesn't even know what Rikuou does and doesn't know. And he doesn't know, basically, anything about Rikuou (a fact not helped by the fact that he basically doesn't pry into other people's lives much at all because lolol faux detachment, just pick up whatever people say to or around him). Not to mention that one of the very first things Ritsuka told Soubi is that he'd been sleeping with Rikuou in his bed lolol so he knows Rikuou and Ritsuka are close and has no first-hand knowledge of how this came about or the exact form it took.

Add in that we haven't threaded them all that often (though I'd love to thread them more!) and Soubi's actually making more of an effort to be friendly and get along than is easy for him -- Rikuou's been friendly to him and obviously likes him, and Rikuou and Ritsuka are extremely close, and so he's casual-friendly when he deals with Rikuou, but inside he gets very... nervous? Cautious.

WE SHOULD BE POSTING TONIGHT ACTUALLY it's Soubi's 1-year anniversary :')

...I like how I forgot to ask you a question and you still have a more coherent essay here than I managed.

THAT IS VERY MUCH RIKUOU'S MODUS OPERANDI IN CAMP THOUGH. He gets close to one person, finds out a lot about their nearest and dearest, and then attempts to top entire casts into being open with him because oh hey look I already know a shitton about you. Thing is, this actually generally works for him. It's how he became friends with most of the Wraeththu, and Uryuu, Hime, the Yami dudes (which is cheating on my part but ah well), and I think even Ritsuka, starting out.

That makes him sound very calculating when this really wasn't planned, but it's something I've noticed about his strongest relationships as he's gone along in CFUD >> Anyway! In Soubi's case, anything he... ah, got up the nerve to ask, Rikuou would answer honestly. That is only fair. And besides, he does like the guy.
